I&O leaders need to understand the benefits and risks of the combined company as well as how best to weather the inevitable vendor volatility in the hyperconverged system market. WebbSimplivity also currently offer solutions based on Cisco, Dell, Huawei and Lenovo hardware. Given that HPE is the world’s largest server manufacturer this is a great tie up. It seems unlikely the existing deals with other server manufacturers will continue beyond the day the deal goes live, and that future generations of Simplivity will be ProLiant based.
