Make sure you clean off both mating surfaces thoroughly and follow the Helm's recommendations. Just apply a little bit of Hondabond on the corners. I just bought a filter kit and some ATF+4 fluid for it's first change at 100k miles. No need putting it off too long... The kit came with a gasket and I'll be using it.
